About the event
Did you know that May 20th is World Bee Day? In honor of our new-bees, we are holding a Bee-Ginner's Beekeeping Clinic here at RROAR. If you are interested in having Bees some day, or you just want to learn more about these amazing creatures, this clinic is for you. Jeanine and Larry will discuss the importance of caring for our bees, introduce you to the tools and equipment we use to handle our bees safely, discuss the roles of each type of bee and give you a tour of our small Apiary. We will do our best to answer any questions you have. You will not be handling the bees at this clinic. However, if you are interested we may open the hive to check on our new residents and show you their comb. If you own a bee suit you are welcome to join in on that segment of the clinic. This event is to help RROAR to raise funds to care for our bees and keep our ministry running. There is a minimal donation of $5.00 for 12-18 year olds and $10.00 for Adults. If you have any questions you can reach Jeanine at 479-325-8947.
